Jihad: A Misconception

Image taken from here

Assalamualaikum and welcome everybody to Infinitesane Daily, keeping you sane. I promised that I will post this entry 2 weeks ago, but due to the busy schedule or I just forgot, I finally manage to post it right now. It almost Saturday here, but it's still Friday in certain part of the globe. This time I really need to make an explanation about this issue. Because some people have misunderstood about what Jihad is.

For somebody who's not a Muslim (or maybe some Muslim don't really know), Jihad portray violence, armor, fight, killing innocent people and many other negative perception. I will briefly explain to you right here. I'm not gonna tell you in-depth since I'm afraid you're not ready to "swallow" the input I try to give to you. I will just tell you the general idea about Jihad so that you will not see Jihad as a bad thing. Do you know what I'm doing right now is a Jihad?

Jihad derived from the Arabic word: Jahada. means that to do something wholeheartedly to achieve something. So basically, protecting religion, life or dignity is also counts as a Jihad. Spreading the good teaching, like what I did right now is also count as a Jihad. I try my best to convey my kind and warm message to you, I try to urge you to do good things, is also a Jihad. Students, study to be closer to Allah, also a Jihad. The one who died in a war to protect religion is called "syuhada" or in English, a martyr. If a mom died giving birth to a child, she got the reward same as the martyr.

So, did you get the idea of Jihad in Islam? Basically, the concept is to protect. That's why it is forbidden for a Muslim (supposedly) to kill innocent people in a war such as women, children and older people. The concept is to protect. It's beautiful, not Barbaric.

I think that is all for now. I need to get some rest, I almost recover right now.

See you later,
Jumpa lagi,
Hasta luego,
Mata ne,
Wassalam...

eBook: It's not their thing

Amazon kindle family. Image taken from here.

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to all Infinitesane daily visitor. It's been a while since my last entry, at least an English entry. It is "Techy Tuesday" and accidentally I've flipping around newspaper today and found an article about eBook at Japan.

We realize that amazon had realease kindle as an eBook reader device. It's been used widely across America at least. However, that's not what happen in Japan, a well-developed country. They still prefer the old-school physical book rather than eBook.

On the contrary, in Malaysia, don't bother try to sell kindle widely here. Because most Malaysian (not all) didn't read much. They only read when they have to. Some of them buy book just to keep their shelf occupied and look good.

For me, personally, I also prefer to have a old-school physical book. It is a great feeling when I flip the pages. That cannot be replace by artificial flipping sound by the device. But, it's just a subjective opinion. Maybe other people didn't think the same way as I am.

I think that's all for now, I still trying to get back my "writing touch". I am now really not feeling well. I'm "attacked" by flu, a little fever and a toothache... I hope I can get well as soon as possible...wish me the best...

See you later,
Jumpa lagi
Hasta luego,
Mata ne,

Filem Melayu Tak Menarik?

Jumpa lagi,
See You,
Hasta Luego
