WrestleMania 30: Transition to the New Era?

Image taken from here

It's been a while since I wrote about wrestling and honestly it's quite awkward to write back. So please excuse me for the awkwardness that you'll perhaps encounter throughout this entry. Wrestlemania XXX (it means 30) is just 3 weeks away on 6th April (or 7th according to your timezone). From my personal opinion, there are so much things happening right now that it actually shows us the new direction toward this business.

Young Guns Jumping On

You just cannot deny the fact that many young talent nowadays get pushed by the WWE. Just look at Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt(both are on the poster), Roman Reign and Antonio Cesaro (okay, just Cesaro). Plus, they back it up with superb performance. The audience are backing they up. WWE really made great return on that NXT investment. That means the very talented midcarders like Dolph Ziggler, Tyson Kidd, heck, even Alberto Del Rio left behind because of these young talented rising stars. The crowd still chanting "We Want Ziggler" on each show. I know it because I want it to. He is one of the best seller in my book. Even when he had to be a jobber, he do it well and of course, stealing the show. I feel sorry and disappointed for him. This is the problem WWE are facing right now, (this is just my opinion, you don't have to agree if you want to) the "pool of talent" that WWE have is too many, it's "spilling off". And then you see familiar face like Ethan Carter III on TNA. Of course it's so obvious that he is Derrick Bateman from NXT. It's not wrong having so many talent on the roster, I just believe if only they can have a good build up story line, that will be great for TV. But I know I just can hope and honestly, managing so many talent is a real pain in the A$$.

Fans Perspective

WWE fans (damn it, I don't want to use universe, it's too cheesy) is very different on the previous era. Fans nowadays watching wrestling for a good match, and smooth story line. We (I include myself into the universe) treated it as we watch other TV series. We know it is scripted, not like before that the fans take some serious heat to the wrestler, basically a heel. We nowadays appreciate well executed wrestling maneuver and good, entertaining story line. We even cheer for a heel. We don't dig wrestlers with big, bulky muscular man anymore. As long they perform on the ring and entertained us, we're fine. We are more appreciating good performers than individual themselves. That is what happened to poor Batista. He did a comeback, won Royal Rumble and straight away get a main event spot in WrestleMania for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship? That is pissing CM Punk thus left WWE for good. And just like he said in his infamous pipebomb,

I'm just a spoke on the wheel -- the wheel's gonna keep turning. And I understand that...
People will still buy PPV, watch RAW and SmackDown (I know I do) and bought merchandises. However Punk, personally I still miss you, your pipebomb and your in-ring action. If you ever feel want to make a comeback, I will cheer you. From my living room (or wherever I am).

Conclusion

As a conclusion, WWE need to adapt with this new direction of the wants of the fans. With their WWE Network (still not available in Malaysia, why Vince, why?), they're heading a little bit to the right direction and I hope to see more quality matches and story lines in the future. Or else I'll stop watching WWE and watching TNA. (I'm joking, TNA has best matches, but sucks at their story line). A lot of young and talented wrestlers waiting their turn to barge in to the main roster.

See you later,

Daniel Bryan is On Fire!

Image taken from here

Have you seen Daniel Bryan on action lately? Wow! He's been on fire. I have missed wrestling for a while due to my "busy" schedule. But from what I've read from twitter, everybody talking about how good Daniel Bryan recently. "The Best In The World in What He Does" also approved that. I mean Chris Jericho if somebody wonder about it. He mention in his twitter that Daniel Bryan is the most entertaining man in the business currently. Fortunately, I now have some free time and I watched him in action. It is REALLY ENTERTAINING! The pace, the intensity, really excite me personally. I have high hope that the management will push him fairly. He deserves it. I'm looking forward for his storyline.

A Few Hours Before The Showcase of Immortal, WrestleMania!

Assalamualaikum and welcome to Infinitesane Daily "Sunday Sunnyday". As you all already know, Infinitesane Daily is rarely updated. I got another commitment so this Infinitesane Daily is my opportunity cost. But, why wouldn't I miss to write about WrestleMania when the showcase of the immortal just in a few hour? So, here it is.

First, the matches lineup that we will watch at wrestlemania. I take this image from a facebook page that I followed, here.

I can't write much, but most of the matches are highly anticipated for me. Unfortunately, I can't watch it live since it is already Monday here in Malaysia. So, I will just manage to watch it much later on.

~New Faces~

Fandango and Big E will have their in-ring debut at the grandest stage of them all? Wow...I can't wait to watch them in action. Fandango will face Chris Jericho and Big E, if he and Ziggy win will be crowned as the tag team champion.

~Battle of the strongest~

This match is also get me interested. There are nothing much to say. I'm just unsure whether Ryback can gives shell shock to Mark Henry or not.

~The rest~

The main event? I just can't write much about it. I'm not saying that the matches aren't great, it's just kinda cliché if you ask me. Except for the Undertaker's match, the other "major matches" didn't excite me much.

I think that's all for now. Enjoy WrestleMania!

With that,
See you later,

Oh You Didn't Know? Oh! My! Goodness!

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Wednesday Wonder". I have no intention to write a long entry today. I'm just want to share about thing that happen to me. As you can see, I cannot update my blogs as frequent as before. I have another commitment to fulfill.

The story is just about me didn't notice about the new V6 Album, Oh! My! Goodness! Didn't interesting right? Never mind, feel free to leave this entry as you want. It is just a coincidence, I am also a wrestling fan. To all wrestling fans out there, especially WWE, remember one of Booker T catchphrase? "Oh...Ma...Goodness..." This V6 new album take the same line as their album name. And they released this album on 20th February 2013. And I just notice about it yesterday. I know about this album, but I don't remember the release date. And I know they'll do a nationwide tour this year. If only I have okane (money), I'll definitely go there.

I think that is all for now. Sorry for wasting your time, but here is their on of the new Promotional Video (PV) from that album, "Otona Guyz". The other PV is quite adult I think. I don't think it is suitable to share it here.

It's WrestleMania Season!

Promotional Poster of 26th Royal Rumble this year featuring The Rock. Taken from wikipedia.

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today's Sunday Sunnyday. It's been a while since my last entry for "Sunny Sunnyday". Nonetheless, let's begin. Yes people, Finally... (I don't know for how many time) The Rock has come back to WWE. I don't know whether it is for real this time or it is just a filler for his vacant schedule. But he's fighting CM Punk for the WWE Title.

And a few superstars have declared their entry for the Royal Rumble. John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, 3MB (like we care), and other that I couldn't remember. Other talking point is about the new World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio. Sure, he is a face right now. But rumor spreads around that the reign will just be a temporary reign. It is just a way for Dolph Ziggler to cash in his MITB contract. I feel sorry for Alberto Del Rio if that really happen.

So, that's it. Lets anticipate this event so the excitement will remain high for the road to WrestleMania!

See You Later!
¡Hasta luego!

It's Summerslam!

Photo taken from here

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Sunday Sunnyday". It's already Monday here in Malaysia. And it is festive season here. We are now celebrating Eid Mubarak after a month fasting in Ramadhan. So, it's Summerslam in Syawal. Alright, that's just a briefing of what is going on here, in Malaysia.

Lets move on to today SummerSlam. I can't write much because I'm already sleepy right now. However, after a long while, this week I got a "Sign of the Week"! But before that, I'll just gonna talk about todays matches.

There're Lesnar vs HHH, The triple threat, Kane vs Bryan, the IC title match and USA title. Sorry if I got some match left. I think the match lineups are quite okay. It's just the Kane vs Bryan match was lacking in storyline build up. I guess Charlie Sheen will interfere? Maybe. Lesnar/HHH, I think that match is just the main attraction for the 25th anniversary of SummerSlam. I'm not saying that this is gonna be a boring match, I just think it is a common thing to attract buyers to pay for this PPV. The rest of the match, I hope gonna be great. eventhough I can't also see any storyline buildup for the IC title match.

So, before I leave, this is the "Sign of The Week":

If you did't figure out what was the sign was all about, the sign said "Get a tan". It was obviously for Sheamus as his skin is damn too pale. The sign comes from recent SmackDown! With that,

RAW: The Next 1000th Episodes

CM Punk Heel turn?

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today edition of "Sunday Sunnyday". I am not intend to write long for this entry despite this entry covers two week review. I am actually start to feel sleepy right now. So, please forgive me if suddenly I am "trash writing".

So, I missed my review on RAW 1000th episode last week. A sudden event made me unable to update thi blog. Nonetheless, for the 1000th episode, I am quite satisfied with the show that night. The main point that night surely CM Punk attacking The Rock while The Rock try to save(?) John Cena. Is he become heel right now? Maybe.

New General Manager for RAW and SmackDown!

During the RAW 1000th Episode, Chairman Mr. McMahon revealed who is going to be the new permanent Ganeral Manager of RAW. And it is...AJ!
Aww...She's so cute in that corporate attire

As for the SmackDown! Mr. McMahon revealed that Booker T is the new permanent General Manager of SmackDown!. Now can U dig that, SUCKA!!!!

I'm too sleepy to write much, I'm sorry. No "tweet n sign" of the week. But I found some that caught my attention. One of them is "Bryan > Sheen" if I'm not mistaken.

With that, See you later,

What Hopefully Excite Me in Tonight No Way Out

Photo taken from WWE.com

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Sunday Sunnyday". It's already Monday here but it's still Sunday noon in certain place right? Before I start with today entry about "tonight" PPV; No Way Out, I would like to congratulate TNA for a very entertaining PPV last week. Most of the matches were good. The first match is one of my favorite in that PPV. But my most favorite match was certainly the tag team championship match. And this is Christian (or Christian Cage in TNA) making appearance in the TNA Slammiversary last week. He's the current WWE Intercontinental Champion. I couldn't help but notice the "PEEPle Power" sign in the TNA event. Just watch it here:

Moving on, (I need to make it fast) I have a few matches that I've been waited for this PPV. Overall, Tuxedo Match will be a joke match unless something happen. I'm not going to say it because WWE tend not to granted fans story line suggestions. I'll maybe watch it to get something to laugh about. Divas Match? I actually hope for a good divas match like in NXT this week but there was not so much build up so it's kinda bores me. Main event? I'm really not hoping much on that match even though it's a steel cage match. It's just an acting with not much wrestling action. I'm not saying Cena is bad or Big Show is bad in wrestling, Cena is strong. I think nobody can't deny that. But watching him wrestle, I'm not entertained much. So, I'll throw this match out of my pick. I'll just wait for the ending. What I'm waited for are:

Christian (c) vs Cody Rhodes for Intercontinental Championship.

Christian is very experienced wrestler. I can't deny his work quality. As for Cody Rhodes, he never fail to entertain me. Even though he's a heel. He's done a good job.

CM Punk (c) vs Daniel Bryan vs Kane with AJ for WWE Championship.

This is by far the best story line of 2012. I really can't predict who's gonna win the match. How will AJ affect CM Punk and Kane or maybe Daniel Bryan? Sadly this is not the main event. But at least this story line is good and entertaining. I can't wait to watch this match.

Sheamus (c) vs Dolph Ziggler for World Heavyweight Championship.

Dolph Ziggler was just a replacement for Alberto Del Rio (ADR) for the championship when ADR got injured. But I have said before that Ziggler need to be pushed because he is talented and entertaining. Even though I still think that Sheamus will win tonight, I hope they put up a good match.

"Tweet & Sign of the Week" this time is from Santino Marella twitter that he was posted a picture of the "Youngest Santino Fan". This is the tweet:

As for the sign of the week, come from this week edition of SmackDown.

Yes, Ry-berg instead of Ryback. Most of the fans always chanting him "Goldberg" when he's in action. Some people even called him Goldberg in RVD suit. He look like Goldberg and wearing RVD "attire". So, the sign is actually "entertain" me. I just hope WWE start feeding him with a legit wrestler instead of local wrestlers.

That's all for now. See you guys tomorrow, InsyaAllah. It took me almost an hour to write this.
Hasta manana,

Wassalam.

Is This Year Gonna Be a Good Year for Wrestling Fans?

Assalamualaikum and welcome to today "Sunday Sunnyday". I decided not to write "this week on WWE" much because it will certainly be a looong entry. So, I've decided to pick certain topic only.

There are a few interesting topic to be told here. Basically today is about "Is this year gonna be a great year for wrestling fans?" and a few more issues.

Before I go with the main topic, let's start with another few issues. First let's talk about Jericho-Orton feud that I said last week? I said that I would like to see Orton feud after Jericho suspended after denigrating the Brazilian flag [source]? Well the next day after RAW, I found out on the wwe website that Orton is now suspended for 60 days for his second violation of the WWE Wellness Policy.[source]. It's twice longer than Jericho suspension. And this bring the next point in this entry.

I now would like to talk about Dolph Ziggler. Many fans and me myself think that WWE should push Ziggler because he is so talented, he sell very well and he can put up a great show. In this week RAW he said he want to be like Orton which seems like he'll be the replacement for the Jericho abcense. Unfortunately, now Orton is suspended too. But, by judging his performance on SmackDown against Sheamus, it validates people judgement that he need to be pushed by WWE. Just see this sign:

Well, that is not the sign of the week. It's just a sign telling WWE to push Ziggler.

Brodus Clay at last, almost got his first loss when he challenged Big Show. Fortunately, Big Show destroy him before the match even started.

Sin Cara returns, but no "jump-inside-the-ring" entrance. Maybe he's being cautious about his recently recovered injury? But, it just a mediocre match. I wonder how will he develop a feud when he can't speak English much? Hunico can speak English quite well and I can say he's much better than Sin Cara in terms of his opportunities.

And to our main topic, is about this year, 2012. TNA and ROH will be celebrating their 10th anniversary and starting from last week, TNA Impact! was airing live at 8/7 CT. TNA Pay-Per-View (PPV) "Slammiversary", well the 10th edition will be on next Sunday. And the next Sunday, WWE "No Way Out" will be the next PPV. And the next Sunday, ROH "Best in the World" will be aired in PPV. We only can watch WWE PPV in Malaysia. As for the WWE, RAW has set up a new benchmark when they celebrate their 1000 episodes this July 23. It will be 3 hours RAW each week from that week on. I can't imagine what will WWE "feed" us in the 3 hours time. Because, now RAW show has their good/boring show. I wonder if the show is going to be a boring show, it will be an excruciating time for me.

Lastly, it's "Tweet & Sign of the Week". I'm quite disappointed because I didn't follow much the conversation when I watch the show. Fortunately, I've saved some tweet from RAW show 2 weeks ago. Here it is:

And the sign of the week is:

Nothing much actually about that sign, It's just the creativity caught my attention. And if you didn't quite get what was written at the end of the sign, it says "Best in the World". CM Punk always refer himself as the best wrestler in the world.

That's all for now. I'll talk about No Way Out next week. See you all tomorrow, InsyaAllah.
Hasta mañana,
Mata ashita,
Wassalam.

p/s: I don't give a damn about Cena match. I don't know. It didn't excite me. But, Heel Big Show is much better than face Big Show.

Over The Limit Report, Jericho Suspension, Bobby Roode Longest Title Reign

Photo taken from WWE.com

Assalamualaikum and welcome to the first Infinitesane Daily "Sunday Sunnyday". If you miss "Sunday Sunnyday" introduction entry, just click [here].

I'm sorry first of all, my head is pretty messed up and I can't arrange or manage my points today. It's quite a stressful day today and my back and my head is still aching. So, maybe I'll come up with a few points in this entry.

First of all, let's make a little review to the Over The Limit (OTL), as I can't think much right now, I thought it was a quite decent PPV. I think there are two matches that I think quite entertaining. The matches are the Fatal 4 Way match and definitely CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan. The pre-show match between Kane-Ryder is quite okay. Ryder put up a good match but I can't see him winning the match. And the main event joke is not actually a match. It's just a comedy show. I actually laugh when Cena and Laurinaitis do the commentary and Michael Cole told Booker "Booker, you never sounded better!". That really make me laugh. Nonetheless, it's not really a wrestling match. And, in OTL there were two role changes. One superstar turns heel and vice versa. The Big Show heel turn was predicted by many fans. However, me, personally never thought that Christian turns face at OTL. It's not because he never being a face before, he's an experienced superstar and he's already be anything in his role. He has been heel, face many time. It's just this time, his comeback is not predicted.

On the next day on RAW, Chris Jericho attacked Randy Orton as you can see on the photo above. However, in recent WWE live tour in Brazil, Jericho went overboard when he denigrating the Brazilian flag in São Paulo on May 24. And he's been suspended for 30 days [source]. So, that means the storyline was messed up. Randy Orton supposed to face Jericho in "No Way Out" next 3 week. So, I'll love to see who will fill the vacancy?

For the first time ever, I'm going to write about TNA. For you who don't know what is TNA, TNA stands for Total Nonstop Action. It is another wrestling company. But, only WWE made it to worldwide fame. I watched TNA for the action. For those who don't know, WWE is now in a "PG Era". That mean it is safer for your children to watch. However, for those who are missing more edgier wrestling, you can watch TNA. They still a TV 14 show. So, you can see more edgy, maybe blood, and greater action in TNA. However, I still stick to the WWE because WWE has more interesting storyline compared to TNA. Actually my point here is just TNA is now have their longest TNA World Heavyweight Champions reign record broken by Bobby Roode, quite a heel and now his reign is aged 214 days and counting [source]. The previous record is held by AJ Styles by 211 days. AJ Styles try to defend his record on the Impact wrestling last Thursday but unable to do that.

Lastly, it's today "Tweet&Sign of the Week". I've forgot to mention about this slot in "Sunday Sunnyday" introduction entry before. But I've updated that entry so if you wonder what are "Tweet&Sign of the Week" about, just read "Sunday Sunnyday" introduction entry which I've provide the link above. So, "Tweet of the Week" come from OTL PPV. WWE always show the "Don't try this at home" message. Well, this is how WWE universe response:

As for "Sign of the Week", it come from last Friday night SmackDown. Actually it has "two" signs, but it related and caught my attention. Here they are:

Actually the signs are mocking "Ricardo Rodriguez" when he announce Alberto Del Rio in Del Rio entrence. Here is the video.

Awesome!!!

So, that's all for now. It seems quite long entry anyway, but I'll see you guys tomorrow on "Mega Monday".

Hasta mañana,
Mata ne,
Wassalam.

p/s: can't wait to see Sin Cara in action again next SmackDown after his injury.

Sunday Sunnyday

If you're a visitor from Infinitesane previous version, you might know this.

I'm a wrestling fan!

So, I decided to write all about wrestling in Sunday. However I can say it is mostly about WWE. I watch TNA and ROH but their story line are not good compared to the WWE. However, I can say some of their action are quite decent and many of them are much better than WWE. Why Sunday Sunnyday? Well, I've thought some name like "Savage Sunday" but I think wrestling is art. It is not a savage thing right? Plus, I've one of my favorite song entitled, "Sunday Sunnyday". So, I take the name to make them part of this blog. But it's a Japanese song performed by 20th Century, a sub-unit from a group called V6. This is the song:

And additional information, in this "Sunday Sunnyday", there are two segment which are

1. Tweet of the Week

WWE universe are really creative and entertaining. So, while I was watching any live broadcast WWE events (WWE RAW & Pay-Per-View) I love reading the WWE universe conversation among them and some of them really caught my attention.

2. Sign of the Week

While on the venue itself, WWE Universe are really entertaining people with their signs. So, that is what you can get in "Sunday Sunnyday" each week.
